Mark Clarke born Mark Ogden (born June 29, 1977) is a British Conservative politician. He is currently Chairman of Conservative Future and Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Tooting.
Clarke attended Durham University, graduating in 1999 with a degree in Ancient and Modern History. Prior to Durham, he was a pupil at the prestigious Dulwich College, an independent fee-paying school in south London.
He has been the serving Chairman of Conservative Future since 2006. Clarke has made it his goal to increase the number of Conservative Future branches in marginal constituencies.
He was selected on 13 February 2007 as the Conservative Party Parliamentary Candidate for Tooting. The seat is currently held by Labour Member of Parliament (MP) Sadiq Khan. Previously, he has been the Young Conservatives Chairman for Mitcham & Morden and Wimbledon, the Conservative Future Chairman for Durham University Conservatives and the CF regional chairman for North East England.
He is the great-nephew of the late Dominican Prime Minister, Dame Eugenia Charles,[1] whom he considers the 'Conservative politician' that he most admires.[2]
His career has included a five year stint in marketing with Procter & Gamble, and two years in strategy consultancy with the Boston Consulting Group, and more recently he has worked for Mars.
