Mark Anthony (also known as Marc Anthony) (born March 24, 1967 in Cardiff, Wales) is a former gay porn star and Mr Gay UK heat winner of Club X Cardiff 1993. His muscular, scrum half's physique made him one of the most recognisable and popular gay porn stars in Britain.

A self-confessed 'juvenile delinquent', Anthony spent time (between the ages of 13 and 17) in detention centres.^[1]

Mark later moved to Earl's Court in London. He got married, and had two children, but was shortly in trouble with the police again, and was found guilty of grevious bodily harm. Imprisoned for 18 months, several encounters with other inmates led him to realise that he was in fact gay.

Released from prison, he acknowledged his sexuality to his wife. He then joined an escort agency. He was dancing at the famous gay nightclub Heaven when he was introduced to the gay photographer Jay Eff. This was the start of an enduring and successful friendship and business partnership. Eff put him on the amateur and professional gay strip circuit, also entering him into the Mr Gay UK beauty contest in 1993, where he won the Cardiff heat.

Anthony's film career started in 1993 in Sitges, near Barcelona, where he starred in the first production of the porn studio Man For Man. Several productions followed, including two sex education and awareness videos.

He appeared on national television in the BBC TV series Gaytime TV in 1996 where he provided a weekly workout. However further television work was not to follow. His first taste of hard-core porn came when he was flown to Miami to work with the director Kristen Bjorn.

Anthony then moved into less mainstream, more fetish-based films with the company Hot House, but he felt frustrated that he was always cast in the ‘top’ role when he felt more comfortable as the ‘bottom’.

Shortly afterward, Anthony was diagnosed HIV positive. He became addicted to drugs and served four months in prison for a drug and psychosis-induced air rage incident on a transatlantic flight.

It was not until 2004 that he began a course of treatment for his drug addiction. Away now from the porn scene, his ambition is to become a chef and, in his own words, 'a better father'.^[2]
