Mark Allen (golfer)

Mark Andrew Allen (born 21 March 1969) is a former Australian pro golfer who was known for his swashbuckling big hitting and was best known for finishing 6th in the Australian Open one year. He reached a peak ranking of 177 in the world.

He is now a much respected sports presenter on SEN 1116 sports radio station in Melbourne. Allen filled in on Hungry for Sport in January 2006 with Matthew Campbell, but in the regular season has a show on the weekends with Liam Pickering, Saturday Spotlight. Mark is SEN's golf expert and has a show on Wednesday nights called "Chasing Birdies" from 8pm till 9pm.

Allen filled in for Anthony Hudson and David Schwarz on The Run Home during the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Mark Allen recently added to his impressive media portfolio by commentating on the New Zealand Open in 2006.
