In Akhbari Shi'a Islam Marja is used in context with getting in contact (rujoo) with an Aalim for a hadeeth in context with their problem. Accordingly, Akhbaris consider that Marja-e-Taqleed can only be the Holy Prophet or the Holy Imams(12)as they can be the only "Source of Imitation". Akbaris believe that according to tradition of Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H and H.P)Muslims are supposed to approach an Aalim, for a contextual hadeeth, during the Occultation of The Holy Imam and there is no mention of doing Taqleed based on Ijtehaad and Aql which is forbidden based on the Tradition of Saqlain.(Hadeeth-e-Saqlain). There can be a Marja in Akhabari Shia Islam but not a Marja-e-Taqleed as Taqleed means blindly following and doing imitation(ITAA'ATH).
