Marius Johnsen (born August 28, 1981 in Kristiansand) is a Norwegian footballer, the second son of Reidun and Jan Johnsen.
Johnsen currently plays for Köln, on loan from Start, as a left back player. During the summer of 2005, he made his debut on the Norwegian national team, with great success. He is considered one of the greatest talents in Norwegian Premier League, as of 2005. His older brother Espen Johnsen is the goalkeeper for Strømsgodset in Drammen, Norway.
He currently studies religion at the Agder University College, planning to teach history and/or religion at a college or University. Like the rest of his family, he is involved in the activities of the Norwegian Free Church. Like his brother, he has made a mark in the national press for publicly expressing his religious beliefs.
In the end of 2006 Marius Johnsen signed a loan contract with 1. FC Köln in German 2. Bundesliga, that will end at the end of the German 2. Bundesliga season in May. The Norwegian made his debut for the German club on January 26, 2007 against Wacker Burghausen, where FC Köln won 3:1 in Burghausen. Johnsen has a three year option to sign with the Rhein side after his loan spell is up.
