Marisol Maldonado, a model, is married to Rob Thomas (lead singer of Matchbox Twenty, and solo artist) since 1999. Although she is a native of the borough of Queens in New York City, her parents are of Puerto Rican decent. She met her future husband while vacationing with her friends in Montreal.

She is the stepmother to Rob Thomas's son, Maison Avery Williams (b. July 10, 1998), from a previous relationship.
