Marion Butler Dudley (May 13, 1972January 25, 2006) was an American prison inmate who was executed by lethal injection on January 25, 2006 in Huntsville, Texas for the murders of three people. He was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

[edit] Crime

Dudley was convicted in the murders of three people shot during a drug buy at a Houston residence on June 20, 1992. Killed were Jose Tovar, Jessica Quinones and Frank Farias. Dudley and two accomplices had gone to the home of Jose Tovar and Jessica Quinones to buy three kilograms of cocaine when they decided to rob them of their drugs and money. Three other people were also shot by Dudley, two of which survived head wounds and identified Dudley as one of their attackers.

[edit] Co-Defendants

Arthur Brown was convicted for the murder of a neighbour. Popular belief [1] shows that Dudley was convicted for the murder of four people, although he only actually killed three people. [2]]

[edit] Execution

Dudley was executed by lethal injection on January 25, 2006 in Huntsville, Texas. He became the first person to be executed by the state of Texas in 2006.

When asked if he had a final statement to make, he ignored the warden and kept his eyes shut. Taken as a decline, the drugs were administered and eight minutes later at 6:16pm he was pronounced dead.
