Mario Rubalcaba is a San Diego based drummer who has drummed for such staples of the San Diego scene as 411, Rocket From the Crypt (alias Ruby Mars), Clikatat Ikatowi, Thingy, The Black Heart Procession, Hot Snakes, the Sultans, and Earthless among others. He was also the original drummer of Louisville, Kentucky band Metroschifter.

Prior to his prolific drumming career, Rubalcaba was a professional skateboarder riding for Team Alva in the late 80s/early 90s.
