Marilyn Hickey is an American televangelist who promotes Word-faith theology.

Marilyn Hickey is a popular minister on Christian television and teaches the Bible around the world. She was born in the 1930's in the United States. Although she was raised having casual church attendance, she was not a born again Christian until a teenager. In college she studied to be a Spanish Teacher. She was on a career path as a public high school teacher when she met Wallace who challenged her commitment to Christ and was her encouragement to become Pentecostal.

The couple married and they became a Pastoral team in an Assembly of God church. They continued to pastoring The Orchard Road Christian Center in the Metropolitan Denver area. The church was a former shopping Mall.

The Hickeys preach and teach a Charismatic Word of Faith message. There are still others who believe the Hickeys are at the conservative end of the prosperity gospel. They have a strong commitment to a born-again salvation message with a strong Assembly of God theological background. The Hickeys do not live outlandishly having a modest home which was donated to them after their young son (now an adult) was kidnapped. They also have a married daughter, Sarah, who is well qualified to follow in her Mom's footsteps.

A recent set-back for the Orchard Road Church happened when out-siders infiltrated the church (and other ministries as well) promoting a scam which bilked church members out of thousands of dollars. The church and other various ministries effected have since set up a trust fund to repay those who lost money in the scheme. The Hickeys were not part of any wrong doing and have remained above board and without scandal since their ministries began. However, they have had other disappointments over the years: the closure of Marilyn's Bible college, closure of their K-12 school, closure of the church's book store, and visual cut-off of their building from public view by the T-REX wall built for the city's light rail system.

Like other television evangelists such as John Hagee or Jimmy Swaggart, Marilyn Hickey uses the medium of television to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ms. Hickey has been joined on television with her daughter Sarah Bowling and continues to preach both on television and travel, especially overseas.
