Marijuana Party in the State of Vermont:

The Marijuana Party is currently forming in the State of Vermont under Vermont Election Law http://www.leg.state.vt.us (see Vermont Statutes Online on the left) Title 17, Chapter 45 formation of new minor political parties in odd numbered years (2007). There is currently a dispute with the proposed new minor political party and the Secretary of State Elections Division as to when the party may proceed to register for their certificate of organization. The party organizer believes it is a violation of freedom of speech to not be allowed to call a party caucus now, and to have to wait until the month of September, 2007. http://myspace.com/vtmjp
