Marie Geddes (-May 16, 2005) was an Alberta senior in a long-term care facility in Camrose, Alberta.
Geddes, a diabetic, died at the age of 86 after going on a hunger strike for four days in April 2005 to protest staff shortages at the long-term care centre where she was a resident. The province's auditor general had recently condemned the quality of long-term care in the province.
