Marica tú
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Marica tú" (Spanish for You queer) is one of the many parodies of the song "Dragostea Din Tei", by Romanian group O-Zone. It was made by a group from Spain called Los Morancos.
The group replaced the original lyrics with Spanish, more or less preserving the rhyme in parts (an intentional sort of mondegreen), and transformed the song into a gay anthem. The video features a man who, after singing for a while, unleashes something like a stereotypical gay party, with lots of smoke, lights, feathers, etc., while advising the hearer to come out of the closet.
The parodical version is also known by its refrain, (Fiesta, fiesta, y) pluma, pluma gay, which has almost the exactly same rhyme of the Romanian (Vrei să pleci dar) nu mă, nu mă iei.
