Maria Wetterstrand

Maria Wetterstrand (born October 2, 1973, Eskilstuna, Södermanland) is a Swedish politician. Together with Peter Eriksson she is the spokesperson (leader) of the Green Party. She has been an MP since 2001 and spokesperson since 2002.

Wetterstrand is married to Ville Niinistö, a Finnish politician representing the Green League. Their son Elias was born in November 2004.
