Maria Kristina Kiellström
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Maria Kristina Kiellström was born oin the 15th June 1744 and died the 20th January 1798. She inspired Carl Michael Bellman to create his character Ulla Winblad.
Kiellström was born into a poor family and her mother died when she was merely five years old. At 14 she moved away from home, and rumour has it she lived a fairly floozy lifestyle. This notion was further supported by Bellman's songs involving her alter ego. It is said that both Kiellström and her husband felt persecuted by Bellman's portrayal of her.
