Marginella, also known as margin shell, is glossy seashell, beautifully colored and patterned, with smooth and rounded whorls.
In the living animal, the mantle is almost entirely covered by the shell. The apex is usually flattened or depressed. In most of the cases, the outer lip is thickened to some degree. It often has either distinct teeth or folds. This animal do not have operculum.
