Cllr Margaret Ritchie MLA (born 25 March 1958) is a Northern Irish politician. She is a member of the Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP) and an MLA for South Down.
Ritchie is a graduate of Queen's University, Belfast who served as Parliamentary Assistant to Eddie McGrady MP from 1987 to 2003.
She became a Councillor in Down District Council in 1985 and was Vice Chairman of Council (1992-1993) and Chairman of Council (1993-1994). Ritchie is the current chairperson of the Council's Health Committee.
She is also the current International Secretary of the SDLP and has also served as an alternate member of the European Committee of the Regions.
