Margaret Cochran was is a fictional character on the soap opera, One Life to Live. She was last played by Tari Signor.

Margaret Cochran was a quiet and lonely accountant for Buchanan Enterprises. One day, she was approached by Todd Manning. Todd needed to get dirt on BE's owner, Kevin Buchanan, due to the fact that Kevin had been with his fiance, Blair Cramer. Todd led Margaret on, making her believe that he had feelings for her, in order to get her to reveal the truth about Kevin to him.
Eventually, Todd revealed to Margaret that he had been using her. Margaret was FURIOUS when she heard that Todd was engaged and in love with Blair. She had fallen in love with Todd, and even was obsessed with him. Deciding that she couldn't let Todd and Blair be together, Margaret created a fake photo of herself in bed with Todd and showed it to Blair, claiming that she and Todd had been sleeping together.
Eventually, Blair realized that Margaret was lying and everyone in Llanview saw that she was mentally unstable. Margaret kidnapped Kelly and Kevin's son (they thought it was their son at the time), Ace Buchanan (now Adam Chandler III). The police caught her and placed her in a mental institution.
Months later, Margaret was given a clean slate, as the doctors decided that she'd been given the help that she needed...but it had all been an act. Margaret was still very obsessed with Todd. On Todd's wedding day to Blair, Margaret put on a wedding dress and paid Todd a visit. Todd wouldn't go anywhere with her willingly, so she shot him in both of his legs.
Margaret kidnapped Todd and kept him in a cabin during the winter. They were snowed in. Todd tried to escape many times, but Margaret kept him tied to the bed. Eventually, Todd's assistant, Mrs. Bigelow, discovered what Margaret had done. Margaret found her and killed her.
After Mrs. Bigelow's death, Blair caught on to the fact that Margaret was behind everything. One day, when Margaret was away from the cabin, Blair came and tried to save Todd--but she wasn't fast enough. Margaret stopped her and locked her in the trunk of a car.
Margaret eventually revealed to Todd what she wanted. She wanted a baby-- his baby. Todd held out at first, but when Margaret threatened to kill Blair, Todd gave in and had sex with her. When the pregnancy test came back negative, Margaret was furious. She put a bomb in the cabin and left Todd there to die. Todd was eventually rescued by Kevin. Asa Buchanan found Blair in the trunk of the car. He hated her, and put in a mental institution. Todd found Blair there and the two were reunited...for a while.
Margaret discovered that the test had a false negative result at first and she WAS pregnant. A thrilled Margaret returned to Llanview when she started to show. Asa Buchanan allowed her to stay at his house. Todd found her there and tried to murder her. But Margaret stabbed him with scissors to get away.
Margaret then found an apartment to live in. Todd found here there too...and she was on the run again.
Finally, Margaret sought refuge in a shelter in the middle of nowhere. She was desperate. Margaret called her niece, Ginger Foley, and asked her for help. She got some money from Ginger, but that was it. Margaret used the money to buy bullets and some knitting. Eventually, Margaret was found by Spencer Truman-- the best doctor in Llanview. Spencer kept this a secret, but he allowed her to stay with him and he provided her with everything that she needed.
Spencer came up with a plan. Margaret would lure Todd out to a lake, tell him she couldn't swim, and then fall into the water. Spencer planned for fake Margaret's death so that Todd would be sent to death row. The plan worked and Todd was indeed sentenced to death-- on the same day that Spencer delivered the baby that Todd shared with Margaret. Margaret named the baby Todd Junior.
Margaret soon caught on to the fact that Spencer was only using her. Spencer was in love with Blair and wanted Todd to die. When Margaret confronted Spencer, Spencer tied her down and injected her with a drug that would erase her memories of the past two years-- meaning EVERYTHING about Todd Manning. Spencer then shipped her off to Thailand where she lived happily.
After a few months of peace, David Vickers found Margaret. John McBain and Natalie Vega also came to Thailand. John, Natalie, and David were determined to get Margaret back to Llanview in time to stop Todd's execution. They made it barely in time. No one could believe that Margaret was alive..or that she had lost her memory.
Bo Buchanan tried numerous times to help Margaret regain her memory, but none of them worked. He eventually had her taken to a mental facility so that they could help her there. But on the way to the Mental Facility, all of the memories came pouring back. Margaret rememered Todd, the Mannings, her baby, and most of all...Spencer. Margaret vowed that she would get revenge on Spencer and that she and Todd could live happily ever after with their baby. But before the van could turn around, they had a wreck. Although Dr. Michael McBain tried to save Margaret, it was no use. Margaret Cochran died, or so it appeared. Margaret had been pronounced dead, but later awoke in the mourge. Michael had her sent out of the country.
