[edit] Shoebox Tour

In the summer of 2006 Marcus Monroe, Jay Gilligan, and Erik Ã…berg played 6 shows in one week in a tour called The Shoebox Tour. SBT, as it is known, was a fundraiser for the Sean McKinney Fund. The tour raised money for the production of the second Sean McKinney DVD.

A 2007 Shoebox tour is currenlty in the works with plans to play 12 cities in a month including certain areas in Canada.

[edit] The Knorch

The knorch is a juggling prop created by Monroe in the fall of 2004. It is a knife and a torch taped together. The knorch has helped Monroe gain popularity since the premier of the knorch back in the winter of 2005. Since then, Monroe has gone on to make variations of the knorch. At a show in New York, Monroe and juggler Jay Gilligan created an act that consisted of juggling random objects taped together and calling them half of each name.

[edit] Injuries

Marcus has a chronic ganglion cyst located deep inside his left wrist that hurts tremedously while juggling.

Marcus was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a chainsaw in his right arm January 2004 while performing in Madison, WI. He was released that night. He claimed that the pain in his cyst prevented his left wrist from making a full rotation with the chainsaw.

Marcus suffered two broken feet during a New Years Eve show at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, WI on Deceember 31st 2006. Marcus was riding a 12 foot unicycle and juggling 3 knorches with a firework exploding from his helmet. Marcus dismounted his unicycle landing on his heels fracturing them both instantly. Marcus finished his set and had no idea his feet were broken until 12 days after his performance.
