[edit] 7th Floor Crew
As a student and football player at the University of Miami, Maxey was a member of the 7th Floor Crew, a rap music group that was widely criticized for the lewdness and sexual references in the song "7th Floor Crew", allegedly depicting the social and sexual life of University of Miami residents on the 7th floor of the university's Mahoney Hall.
