Marconi Stadium

Marconi Stadium is a football (soccer) stadium in Fairfield, New South Wales, Australia. It is mainly is used for football and is the home ground for the Marconi Stallions team. The stadium has a capacity of 11,500 and was built in 1972. The stadium has hosted rugby league internationals in the past.[1]
In November 2006 Berti Mariani ran for election to the board, on a platform of Marconi making a bid to join the A-League, and rebuilding Marconi Stadium into suitable venue. [2]. As Berti Mariani was not elected, there are no current plans to rebuild the ground.
