Marco Mann
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Marco Mann, (born 1971 in Alexandria, Egypt) is a painter who is referred to by some as the "painter of Truth"[citation needed] as he paints his own Human experiences, in some of which he immerses himself intentionally and fully (sometimes detrimentally) for the purpose of finding answers to un-asked questions.
He is also the founder and nerve center of the International group for Art and Culture which he founded in 2004 to disseminate Art and Culture throughout the world with the purpose of finding a common human language through Art. The group has - to date - more than 4,000 members from more than 60 countries all related to Art and Culture in some context or other.
At the end of 2006 Mann left Alexandria and settled in Cairo for many reasons, chief among them is that, for him, Alexandria has lost its cosmopolitan sense and has become a closed uni-directional culture while Cairo retained and expanded its identity as a major "Hub of Civilizations."
