Marco Antonio Solís

Marco Antonio Solís is a Mexican singer, born on December 29, 1959 in the town of Ario de Rosales, Michoacán. He was only twelve when he formed his first group, Los Hermanitos Solís. In the United States, Solís has been successful, with over thirty entries on Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks chart, including multiple number one hits. His albums have also been successful within the U.S. Latin community. His music has also been very influential in Mexico.

Solis was a part of Los Bukis, a popular Mexican band which he co-founded with his cousin. After years of working with the band, he decided to pursue a solo career. Since he left, the group has changed its name to Los Mismos. The group is still tremendously famous in Latin America.

Solis won a Latin Grammy Award for Best Song of the Year in 2004. He also was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Billboard Music Awards.

Solis has avoided public exposure outside of his music. For example, he has not been in any major scandals. He is considered to be one of the most handsome male figures in the Latin artistic community.
