He is now living in Derry city, where he is in demand for music workshops, many of his pupils have become excellent musicians and linguists. He is Head of Spanish and teaches Irish in St. Columb's College. He is guest lecturer at several universities.
He had a rough life as it took him many times to pass his Maths GCSE and once the roof got blown of his house while he was studying. He enjoys playing the fluta very much and has words of wisdom for people such as if your in the rough streets of Derry and people want to jump you tell them your mammy kicked you out of the house.
