Marc Ramsbottom

Marc Ramsbottom (born 27 November 1963 in Rochdale) is a Liberal Democrat politician in the City of Manchester. He was elected in May 2000 as councillor for Central Ward and in 2004 was elected as a councillor in the City Centre ward on Manchester City Council. He is the Shadow Finance Spokesperson.

He was also the Liberal Democrat candidate for Manchester Central at the 2005 general election, for Oldham West and Royton in 2001, and for Altrincham and Sale West, in 1997.

He is Governor at St Patricks RC Primary School in Collyhurst; a Director of Community Security Ltd in East Manchester and a Trustee of the Students' Union Superannuation Scheme (SUSS).

He was president of Manchester Polytechnic Students' Union in the 1985/86 academic year.
