Marc Moreland

Marc Moreland was the former guitarist of Wall of Voodoo. This band released nine albums during their existence from 1977-1989 and were most notable for the hit single "Mexican Radio" in 1982.
In the late '70s and early '80s, Moreland also played guitar for one of the earliest American punk bands, The Skulls. He wrote some of the band's earliest songs, including "Victims" and "Babies."
After the breakup of Wall of Voodoo, Moreland worked in various bands, including Pretty and Twisted (with Johnette Napolitano) and Department of Crooks, both of which released albums in the 1990s. He was also involved in film and produced underground bands in the U.S. and Europe. Moreland released a solo album, Take It to the Spotlight in 2002, shortly before his death. Marc Moreland died of liver failure on Wednesday, March 13, 2002 in Paris, France, at the age of 44.
