Marc "Myst" Karam is a professional poker player who has won millions of dollars competing in major poker tournaments all around the world. His success has been chronicled by various magazines, newspapers, radio shows, websites, and television programs. In addition to playing in major international poker tournaments he makes his living playing online poker at various stakes against a wide range of opponents.

[edit] Biographical Information
Marc Karam was born on August 28th, 1980 in Montreal, Canada to Lebanese parents. In 1982 he and his family moved to Lebanon before finally settling in Ottawa, Canada in 1983 where he still lives today. He attended McMaster Catholic elementary school and earned his high school diploma from St. Patrick’s High School. He then went on to study Glazier & Metal Mechanics at the Ontario Industrial & Finishing Skills Centre while working as an apprentice for a window and framing company, Transit Glass & Aluminum. Marc is also a self-taught, freelance, web designer. He designed the Transit Glass website, along with many others. In early 2006 he quit his job in order to become a full-time professional poker player.

After his fourth place victory at the 2006 EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo, Marc entered into a sponsorship agreement with Eurolinx Poker (a European poker and gaming site that is part of the Prima Poker network) and officially became part of Team Eurolinx which consists of a group of professional poker players who travel the world representing Eurolinx Poker at several major poker tournaments and events.
Marc can also be seen playing on Eurolinx Poker under the name, "_myst_" in some of the highest stakes games offered by the site[2].

- Marc's friends started calling him "Myst" after his favourite professional wrestler, Rey Mysterio Jr.[3]
- Marc eliminated Dutch poker pro Marcel Lüske from the 2006 EPT Grand Final holding the Jack of Diamonds and the Seven of Diamonds against Lüske's pair of eights when he caught running sevens on the turn and river. After the hand, Lüske stood up, placed his finger in his mouth and pretended to vomit.
