Marc Degryse

Marc Degryse (born September 4, 1965 in Roeselare), nicknamed Le Lutin d'Aardoie ("The Imp of Aardoie") was a Belgian football midfielder and he was technical director at Club Brugge before he resinged after bad results. On the club level, he played for V.C. Aardoie (as a young player), Club Brugge (1983-89), R.S.C. Anderlecht (89-95), Sheffield Wednesday (95-96), PSV Eindhoven (96-98), K.A.A. Gent (98-99) and K.F.C. Germinal Beerschot (99-02). He played 543 matches as a professional in those various clubs, scoring 212 goals.

On the national level, he played in 63 matches with the Belgium national football team and scored 23 times. As a member of the national team, he took part in the World Cups of 1990 and 1994 where he scored 2 goals in 7 matches. Degryse won several awards in Belgium: the Golden Boot once and the Footballer of the Year award four times.
