Marbling

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Marbling is the quality of a surface that has streaks of color, like marble. For example:

  • Faux finishing or faux marbling is the art of painting walls or furniture to look like real marble.
  • Paper marbling is the art of decorating paper or fabric in a fantasy swirly pattern.
  • Marbled meat refers to the pattern of fat in beef steaks. A random pattern of marbling is the sign of a good quality steak.
