Maraval

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Maraval is a valley in northern Trinidad in Trinidad and Tobago, and is considered one of the northern suburbs of the capital Port of Spain. It is located east of the Diego Martin valley to which it is connected directly by a hill pass called Morne Coco Road, and west of Santa Cruz valley, to which it is connected by Saddle Road.

Maraval is sometimes referred to as 'Diego Martin East'. It is home to both Trinity College secondary school and St. Andrew's Golf Course/Club, and provides the best route of access from the capital to the North Coast.

It is a common misconception that there are a lot of rich people living in Maraval, however most of the people there are of the working class and represent the upper echelon of Trinidian society.
