Maragogi

Coordinates: 09°00′44″S, 35°13′21″W Maragogi (23.000 inhabitants), 130 km south of Recife and 125 km north of Maceió, is a city situated on the northern coast of Alagoas state, Brazil, a region with fine beaches surrounded by coconut trees and sunny weather all the year round.

Maragogi has a typical tropical climate, with warm to hot temperatures and high relative humidity all throughout the year. However, these conditions are relieved by a near absence of extreme temperatures and pleasant trade winds blowing from the ocean. January is the warmest month, with mean maxima of 31°C and minima of 22°C; July experiences the coolest temperatures, with means of 26°C and 17°C. The absolute maximum and minimum are respectively 33°C and 13°C.

Maragogi has a Tropical forest. Rainforests are characterized by high rainfall, with definitions setting minimum normal annual rainfall between 2,000 mm (about 78 inches or 2 meters) and 1700 mm (about 67 inches). The soil can be poor because high rainfall tends to leach out soluble nutrients. There are several common characteristics of tropical rainforest trees. Tropical rainforest species frequently possess one or more of the following attributes not commonly seen in trees of higher latitudes or trees in drier conditions on the same latitude.

It is land of some of the best Brazilian natural pools located on the Atlantic Ocean sandbanks and coral reefs. Maragogi, 22 km of beaches, a paradisiacal locale where you can find calm warm transparent waters and an exuberant natural pool called "Galés" located 6 km away from the coast, where you will be able to appreciate different marine species and swim surrounded by colorful fish. Apart from enjoying a ride on a buggy, a raft or a bicycle, or walking through paths, you can simply choose to rest on a hammock. As of the census of 2006, there were around 23.000 people, living in Maragogi city. According to the census 2006, the racial makeup of the city was majority White and Mixed; minority Black or African American. People of Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, French, American and English descent form the largest ethnic groups in the city.

Maragogi has more Hotels and Pousadas(Little hotel). Tourism is the most important segment in the city, because Maragogi has beautifuls beaches in your coral coast.
