Mar Thoma II was consencrated by Mar Thoma I and Mar Gregorios. His reign as metropolitian was from 1670-1686. During this time in malankara history Mar Baselious and Mar Ivanios from Syria visited India. Mar Thoma II expired 1686 and is buried in Niranam.
