Maréchal-des-logis (literally translated as "Marshal-of-Lodgings") is a French rank used by "mounted arms" of the French Army (such as armoured cavalry and the train) and by the Gendarmerie. It is also used in a number of other countries. In French it is .

  • Maréchal des logis-chef (equivalent to sergent-chef)

Both ranks are roughly equivalent to a British or Commonwealth sergeant. The Maréchal des logis-chef corresponds quite closely to the US use of the rank of staff sergeant.
