This image, Marthajones.jpg (cropped from [1]), is being linked here; though the picture is copyright © to the BBC, I (Radagast 12:05, 10 August 2006 (UTC)) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use law because:

The image is a low-resolution copy of a publicity photograph;
The image is being used for informational purposes about Martha Jones, a main character from the television programme Doctor Who;
No more free alternative exists;
The use of the image in these articles will have no effect on the BBC's commercial use of the image in question.

The image is being used for informational purposes about the role of the companion, and more specifically the character of Martha Jones, in the television programme Doctor Who;
No more free alternative exists;
The use of the image in this article will have no effect on the BBC's commercial use of the image in question.
