The Hypocrisy of Myners, a painting by Stuckist artist, Mark D. Paul Myners is the Chairman of the Tate trustees. The painting comments on the Tate's purchase of Chris Ofili's work, The Upper Room, as Ofili was a serving Tate trustee at the time of the purchase and had previously urged other artists to donate their work to the Tate for free. Myners defended Ofili. This painting also appeared on a placard used by the Stuckists during a demonstration outside the Turner Prize against the purchase of Chris Ofili's work, The Upper Room on December 6, 2005.
