[edit] Articles I Created
[edit] Childless
This is my first article. Any input is appreciated. This article seemed necessary to me based on reading the talk page for childfree.Mapetite526 22:10, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Missing time
Please help me flesh this out. Mapetite526 22:10, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
This article was deleted so fast that I do not know why it was deleted nor did I have a chance to contest it. Can someone help? Mapetite526 14:54, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- The article was speedy deleted because the deleting administrator felt the article provided no context. Please note that {{helpme}} tags are not for article expansion requests. J Ditalk 15:48, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- Article expansion requests? I just wanted to know why it was deleted, since there was no article history to refer to after it is deleted. I needed to know the reason for the delete before I try to recreate it. If (helpme) is not the way to do this, please let me know the correct way. Mapetite526 17:27, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
-
- Also, how do I request that it be undeleted? I can defend the article, if given the chance. The term is used in several other articles so I thought it was needed. I was going to expand it, which is why it had a stub notice. Mapetite526 17:22, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

- I've restored the page. Please expand it to ensure it is not deleted again. Thanks, Tangotango 17:29, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! I couldn't find anything in the help files except how to contest a proposed deletion. Mapetite526 17:41, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What Not To Wear (US Version)
I broke this out from the original article which was attempting to cover both the UK and US versions of the show. Mapetite526 19:19, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sci Fi Investigates
I created this article after watching the first episode last night.Mapetite526 20:08, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Freelan O. Stanley and Francis Edgar Stanley
These individuals are notable enough to have their own articles. -- Mapetite526 18:28, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Of TAPS and Ghost Hunters fame. -- Mapetite526 21:06, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My Edits
[edit] Johnny Gosch
Sadly Johnny Gosch's mom may being lying.
There are some crazy people in this world. 132.241.246.111 21:46, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- That does not mean you need to insinuate that she is lying. What, you think she kidnapped her own son and took photos? anyway, that's hardly NPOV and should be left out. Mapetite526 21:49, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Well how can I state that it's possible she's lying without insinuating that she is? 132.241.246.111 21:51, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
-
- It doesn't need to be said. Anyone could be lying. Is it necessary to label everything "so and so 'allegedly' said"?Mapetite526 21:54, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Generaly I'd agree with you but this case is so weird I think it's best that every possible angle be treated equaly. 132.241.246.111 22:00, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Dave Patlak
you're right flush the article please. grazon 16:46, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Contested prods, i.e. Cop math
A contested {{prod}} -- like the one on Cop math -- isn't vandalism. Even if the owner removes the {{prod}} tag in bad faith, it's not considered vandalism and is considered legitimate. If the {{prod}} tag is removed, it must not be returned to the article (see WP:PROD#Conflicts). (I have AfDed the article in question for you.) Thanks! --JStalk 05:43, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, I am new obviously so I don't know all of the rules yet. Mapetite526 14:54, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Why did you delete my article?
My article on the 8th century sufi saint Abu Hubairah Basri was important to list all links in the Chistiya Chain. Why did you remove it?
- I did not delete it. I only marked it for one of the admins to review. They must have agreed with my tag. Since I marked it as a bio of a non-notable person, they must have thought so too. You could try putting {{helpme}} on your talk page to ask them why. Mapetite526 18:13, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- Just why did you find it not-notable person? Just because he was not Christian and your bigotry got you?Hassanfarooqi 19:48, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- Please don't assume bigotry. It is not necessarily that the person is not notable, but that the article does not explain why the person is notable. Often what is needed is more information, perhaps citations, that explain why the person is notable. Mapetite526 21:33, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- I am not assuming bigotry, I can see it. You are screaming about your religion all over your profile which is fine with me. However you then get the bio of a 1000 year old saint deleted, just because he does not belong to your religion! Your decision was so abrupt that I saw the tag before I could finish fine tuning the article. Obviously you did not read it to see that he was a vital link in a much celebrated chain. What else is bigotry?Hassanfarooqi 20:20, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks for explaining the copyright situation to Hassanfarooqi - I had to leave the computer, so I couldn't have a full discussion with him earlier. FreplySpang 22:13, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- The problem here is not that of explaining the copyright situation. You have already discussed that. The problem here was Mapetite526 considering the saint unimportant and getting it deleted. This decision was so speedy that it took place before I could finish giving it touches. Seeing the editors profile, it is a clear case of bigotry and intellectual dishonesty.Hassanfarooqi 11:40, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. I hope I was able to keep it civil. Mapetite526 22:14, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- Your wording of being civil is not in question. Your judging people not belonging to your faith is, it is called bigotry!Hassanfarooqi 20:20, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- Looked fine to me! Cheers, FreplySpang 12:13, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Not an attack
What attack? I'm not attacking anyone. Das Baz 22:23, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- The purpose of the article Poor Wedding Guests seemed to be to say that Jews are better than Christians. That is viewed as an attack on Christians. Mapetite526 22:27, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
I did not mean to say, "Jews are better than Christians." All I said was, when it comes to inviting the homeless and the very poor to wedding feasts and other festive occasions, religious Jews behave more in accordance with the teachings of Jesus than Christians do. This is a simple statement of fact. At most, it can be seen as constructive criticism. Instead of feeling offended or "attacked," Christians should examine their lives and their behavior, and see if they can act more in accordance with the teachings and instructions of Jesus. This is positive and constructive. In no way it is an attack on anybody.Das Baz 18:48, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- Do you have any cites to prove that Jews do this, but Christians don't? Also, even by saying "Christians should examine their lives and their behavior and see if they can act more in accordance with the teachings and instructions of Jesus" you're still in essence saying that there is something wrong with Christians here and that Jews are better. You can call it constructive criticism if you want to, but even if it is constructive criticism, it doesn't belong in Wikipedia. Mapetite526 18:56, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
You raise some good points here. I have never heard of any Christians keeping this custom (or commandment), but it may be some Christians do. Who knows? Do you know of any? But perhaps you are right, and it is better not to include anything that could be seen as negative. So how about something like this:
Jesus (Luke 13:14) commanded: "When you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame and the blind." "A Jewish tradition, still practiced, is for the well-to-do to invite their poorer neighbors to enjoy a free meal at a wedding or other celebration." Voices of Wisdom by Francine Klagsbrun, ISBN 039440159X, page 291.
How's that? Not a negative word, no POV, everything fully sourced. Das Baz 17:53, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- That sounds excellent to me. Thanks for being so reasonable and easy to work with. Mapetite526 16:58, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
And thank you, for the same reasons. Das Baz 17:24, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Illegitimate children
Yes, I saw your comment there. The category actually showed up on Vandal Fighter 3. I deleted it because it's an obvious personal attack and like you said we already have a list on the page Illegitimacy of noteables. Stubbleboy 22:28, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Accusations of bigotry
I left a message for User:Hassanfarooqi telling him to lay off the accusations of bigotry: [1] I hope it gets through to him. Otherwise, it's onward to Dispute resolution. (By the way, you're not actually a bigot, are you? I'd hate to have spent all that time defending you if you were!) FreplySpang 12:49, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- Very funny! I don't understand how anything I said or anything on my user page could be interpreted as religious bigotry. Thanks! Mapetite526 14:56, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- I explained to you but you got it deleted!Hassanfarooqi 04:40, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Delma H. Kinlaw
Hi, creator removed the speedy tag. I removed the copy vio. I'm leaving off the speedy tag as being appointed to this board may convey notability. He has about 145 unique google hits Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 21:39, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Iranian folklore
Please wait. I'm working on it now.--Accessible 18:54, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- You should really use the Wikipedia:sandbox. Otherwise do not post the article until it has some content that warrants it being in Wikipedia. Mapetite526 18:56, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy Deletion of Thomas Temple article ?
Hi. I am also working on the Thomas Temple and Sir Thomas Temple articles. He was a very important person. I seeded the article because other articles point to it. It ties into several articles I have been working in. You jumped in too fast ! I will remove the Speedy Deletion bit. Thanks. --- (Bob) Wikiklrsc 22:00, 9 October 2006 (UTC) (talk)
- Do not remove the speedy tag from articles you created. Mapetite526 22:03, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Hi Mapetite526. I hope the situation with the article on Thomas Temple has resolved to your satisfaction. I will, as time permits, add more body to the article. Sorry for any inconvenience or misunderstanding. Thanks for your help. Best Regards. --- (Bob) Wikiklrsc 16:21, 10 October 2006 (UTC) (talk)
[edit] Leland Booher
No, it was definitely nonsense. Since when is "Leland Booher" a name someone would have had in the 4th century? Furthermore, it seems Mr. Booher is a high school sophomore in Indiana, see here. NawlinWiki 15:48, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hello
Why do you support linguistic genocide against my race? How would you feel if I marked the Bible for deletion? GaryNigel 20:36, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- Your article Hong Kong Buttholer is complete nonsense and blatant vandalism. It's almost as if you decided to see just how many racial slurs you could put into one article. Mapetite526 20:40, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- Just a heads up, it seems Mr. Nigel here may be a GNAA troll. He's been blocked for 72 hours after my report. Hope that helps! Wildthing61476 21:00, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] A serial speedy deleter?
I thought your response to the LDRA Testbed was rather over the top and when I read your discussion page I see that you are well on the way to being a serial speedy deleter. There are lots of pages that describe products. I have no commercial interest in LDRA Testbed and simply created it to put all of the material in one place. Why don't you let article develop, rather than causing them to be deleted within a few hours of being created? Derek farn 15:52, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- You were not listed as the creator of the article. History shows user is "LDRA" which made it appear that the article was created by someone with the company. -- Mapetite526 18:20, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- I created the article the day before yesterday (you registered it for speed deletion) and it was gone today, and User:LDRA recreated it. Derek farn 22:52, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Paranormal
Hi! I saw you've been actively making a lot of good edits in an article covered by our project, so I wanted to invite you to join us! The project is undergoing a large expansion right now, and we need quality editors! We are a WikiProject with the goal of improving the quality of articles having to do with Ufology, Cryptozoology, the Supernatural, and other topics. We provide a centralized forum for concerns that effect multiple articles within our scope, as well as methods to rate and categorize articles by quality, get input on how to improve an article from our other members, and a collaborative project once a month where the whole project pitches in to make an article great. You won't be required to do anything special once you join; all that we ask of members is that they sign our participants page, though if you do join you may also find it useful to add some of our pages (especially our main talk page to your watchlist to keep yourself apprised of what we're up to. If you have questions about any of this, please don't hesitate to contact me directly. Thank you for your time, and happy editing! --InShaneee 15:55, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] John Mark Karr
John Mark Karr is a celebrity because he is a widely known person. This is the definition of celebrity in the dictionary (dictionary.com).
- Please sign your comments. Several people disagree with you and have been removing the word celebrity from the article. Why is it so important to you that you keep adding it?-- Mapetite526 15:32, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] William Connolley
Good to see you diving in to the William Connolley debate. However, don't accuse me of vandalism and remove things that aren't vandalistic in the same edit. The stuff about him being a local councillor is not notable and should not be in his article. So I've reverted your deletion and if you revert it again I will report _you_ for vandalism. MarkThomas 23:07, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, I just assumed that when you change an image of a person to an image of a chimpanzee, that everything you have done to the same article is probably vandalism. It was a reasonable error.-- Mapetite526 16:09, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] weasel words in Opposition to Opus Dei
It was an ironical style. Can you explain me the weasel words, please?--Heavyrock 21:01, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Please sign your comments so that I know who I am talking to. :) In answer to your question, weasel words are things like "some people say" and the like, where it is not noted who exactly holds the opinion. But I should have marked this one as "citations needed" instead. It is mostly the opening that has problems with a lack of citations. -- Mapetite526 15:59, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
