Maplin Electronics is a retailer of electronic goods in the UK and Republic of Ireland. As of 2007, it has 109 stores in the UK and 5 in the Republic of Ireland. Additionally, it operates an extensive web and catalogue based mail-order service.

It sells electrical equipment such as audio/visual devices, electrical components, computer components and accessories and other novelty electrical items. The target market is to the electronics hobbyist.

The name Maplin comes from a small bay on the river Thames near to where the founder of the company Roger Allen used to live.

Maplin Electronics is the current sponsor of the UK Championship snooker tournament.
