Why are we using a map which has incorrect borders in the Balkans? The Borders in the Balkans were completely changed after the Balkan Wars of 1912-1913. Surely we can find an accurate map, can't we? john k 22:43, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
- It's the best public-domain map I was able to find. If you know of a map made sometime after 1913 but before 1919, labeled in English, showing the correct borders of the Balkans, that also shows Alsace-Lorraine as part of Germany, please let me know. --Carnildo 00:41, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
- Why does it have to be a map made between 1913 and 1919? Are historical maps off limits? john k 01:03, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
- There are plenty of internet maps out there - copyright status is uncertain, but surely inquiries can be made. I give you, for instance this, from the US Military Academy. My understanding is that all US government materials are not under copyright, so it is at least possible that this is not under copyright. Worse comes to worse, we could draw our own maps. At any rate, there are numerous ways this could be done. john k 01:09, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
- The advantage of this map is that I'm absolutely certain that it isn't under copyright. --Carnildo 07:33, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
- A map similar to the present one but with the correct borders can be found here: [1] It is from 1923. --Valentinian 14:47, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
