Talk:Manhattan streets, 23-42

[edit] Article expansion?
I created an article, Manhattan streets, 1-14, which would be a good companion piece for this article. Of course, the obvious problem is that streets 15th through 22nd are missing. I propose that this article expands to include 15-22 (and possibly 43-59), and Manhattan streets, 15-59.
The reason is that 1-14 covers Downtown streets that aren't completely part of the grid, while the grid begins in earnest at 15th and the basic form remains unchanged up to 59th.

I like the merge idea. Can we create the article as "List of Manhattan Streets" instead so that we don't have so many articles with different ranges? Some streets like Canal Street and Wall Street could then be included because they are not numbered. (Just a thought). From the list, we can then reference the more notable streets like 34th Street, 42nd Street, etc.. What do you think? --Jjc104 23:20, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I agree with this. It wouldn't be so hard to break up into sections, and it's better than creating arbitrary divisions. The question I have is, would you have a separate list for east-west streets and named streets that go north-south? Ytny (talk) 15:53, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
===Proposed merge=== I propose merging Manhattan streets, 15-22 and Manhattan streets, 43-59 into this page. The grid information - E/W switch, ends, intersections and directions - are essentially the same. Similar, separate articles can be created for uptown streets. talk to Ytny 08:32, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
