Manuel Uribe of Monterrey, Mexico, holds the distinction of being one of the largest people in medical history.[1] After reaching a peak weight of around 544 kg (1200 lbs), Uribe has managed to lose a considerable amount of weight with the help of doctors and nutritionists, through a high-protein diet. At 362 kg (800 lbs), he is still morbidly obese.[2]

According to a report on The Fox Report on March 8th, 2007, Uribe has set a goal of getting his weight down to 120 kg (265 lbs).
