Manuel Bonilla (1849-1913) was President of Honduras from April 13, 1903 to February 25, 1907, and again from February 1, 1912 till March 21, 1913. He was born in Juticalpa, Olancho, Honduras. He started out as a liberal, and then became a conservative, and he is considered the founder of the ideas that led to the creation of the National Party of Honduras. He was involved in various military actions as a young man. As President he gave generous concessions to the banana companies along the north coast.
