Manitoba Provincial Highway 10A

Manitoba Provincial Highway 10A is a name for three numbered highways in Manitoba, Canada. The highways are alternate routes of Highway 10. The three sections are located in Flin Flon, Swan River, and Dauphin.

[edit] Flin Flon Section

The section in Flin Flon follows the original alignment of Highway 10. The current alignment of Highway 10 bypasses around Flin Flon and into the downtown area. Starting at Highway 10, it follows 3rd Ave. E. through most of Flin Flon until turning right on Callinan Ln. and left on 1st Ave. until it reaches Highway 10 again, about 600m from where Highway 10 meets the Saskatchewan Border. The speed limit on the route is 50 km/h.

[edit] Swan River Section

The section in Swan River is an important route providing connections to Highways 275 and 83. It branches off from Highway 10 north of Swan River. Once within Swan River it becomes 4th Ave. N. Just a few metres from entering Swan River, the highway intersects Highway 275. Then the highway meets Highway 83/Main St. and turns left. The two highways are multiplexed until they meet Highway 10 and end. On the route, the speed limit is mainly 50 km/h, and 80 km/h approaching Highway 10 on the north side.

[edit] Highway 5A/Dauphin Section

The third and last section is located in Dauphin. It starts at Highways 5 and 10 and from there is multiplexed with Highway 5A. In fact, it is actually a multiplexed highway for the entire route, Highways 5A and 10A. At the city limits, the road becomes Buchanon Ave. Then it intersects with Highway 362/Keays St. At the intersection, it becomes 2nd Ave. NW. Then, it intersects with Highway 20A/Main St. N. and turns right. and yet another highway comes in the multiplex, at least for about 20m. Then the road becomes Main St. S. as Highway 20A leaves Main St. N. and turns left. The two highways follow Main St. S. until finally meeting Highways 5 and 10 and ending.
