Manihot is a plant genus of the family Euphorbiaceae, comprising 98 species found in tropical and warm America. The best known member of this genus is the cassava (Manihot esculenta).
Manihot species are used as food plants by the larvae of some Lepidoptera species including Endoclita sericeus and Hypercompe hambletoni.
