Mandi Bahauddin District

The district of Mandi-Bahaudddin is situated in Punjab and is bounded on the northwest by the Jhelum River, on the South-East by the Chenab River which separates it from Gujranwala District and Gujrat District and on the southwest by Sargodha District.
Mandi-Bahauddin is spread over an area of 2673 km2 comprising of three Tehsils: Mandi Bahauddin, Phalia, Malakwal. The district had a population of 1,160,552 of which 14.93% were urban in 1998.[1]
This district has moderate climate, which is hot in summer and cold in winter. During peak summer the day temperature rises to 45ºC, but the winter months are very pleasant and the minimum temperature may fall below 2ºC. The average rain fall in the district is 50 mm.
