From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mandelbaum House is a small college which is part of the University of Sydney. It is located on Abercrombie Street, Darlington, between the Shepherd Centre and the University Computing Centre. The college houses approximately 30 students, but also has four guest suites for temporary visitors. Mandelbaum House is made to accomodate for Jewish students, with both the catering and events running by orthodox Jewish standards. However, majority of the residents at Mandelbaum House are international or rural students and few are Jewish. Mandelbaum House also hosts lectures and seminars, and has an extensive collection of Judaica books in its library.

The college consists of: 35 resident rooms, a games room, a lounge room, a library, a rooftop terrace, dining room + kitchen, as well as a small common room on each floor. Mandelbaum House is the smallest of the University of Sydney colleges, and subsequently has more of a close, friendly atmosphere.
