Mancera Island (spanish: Isla Mancera) is a small island at the mouth of Valdivia River, in southern Chile. It was named after the Spanish viceroy of Peru Pedro Álvarez de Toledo y Leiva, marqués de Mancera, who constructed the fort at the island. As the island was strategicaly located at the east side of Corral Bay the fort was a vital point in the Corral Bay Forts system, preventing enemy ships from reaching Valdivia
