Man Without a Gun was a western theme series which was aired through 20th Century Fox television from 1957 to 1959. The show starred actor Rex Reason as newspaper editor Adam Maclean and aired for two seasons. A one time popular series, one of the show's main themes was to show that outlaws could be brought to justice just as much by the printing press as by the gun, by showcasing editor's Maclean's moral ethics and common sense being used to bring in crooks and outlaws. The show was also used as a schoolroom to teach the youngsters of the day about common decency and the differences between right and wrong.
