[edit] not having fun?
Hi - I saw your question at the help desk (replied there) and looking into it (I checked your contributions) it looks like you may be having some issues with some other editors. Are you OK? Is there anything I might be able to do to help? There are a LOT of articles here. If you can't get along with the folks editing the article you're currently editing, you might consider doing something else for a while. Please let me know if there's anything I might be able to do to help. -- Rick Block (talk) 04:22, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- Huh? No, I'm just tired. How you could really help me would be an identification of a Wikipedia tag that allows the centring of text boxes/tables. Thanks. Terek 04:41, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
Perhaps I misinterpreted this exchange. In any event:
This is a centered table |
-- Rick Block (talk) 14:14, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- You might want to use a different class than infobox for the tables you're creating. Perhaps wikitable (which doesn't need the "bordered" qualifier, or "float: none;"). And, by blocktext, to you mean blockquote (see Wikipedia:How to edit a page)? -- Rick Block (talk) 21:13, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
-
- Well, I was hoping the "blockquote" tag would allow me to have a bullet followed by indentations, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Is there an alternative? Terek 21:43, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what you mean, perhaps a hanging indent (line with the bullet not indented, but if the text continues onto more than one line the subsequent lines in the same paragraph are indented)? I don't know of a way to easily do this (although pretty much anything is possible with css) - is there some specific reason it must look like this? -- Rick Block (talk) 22:20, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- From WP:VPT, sounds like you're looking for:

- PERFECT. Thank you. Terek 22:32, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

- I answered your question at WP:VPT as well, but looking at Rick Block's Wiki markup solution, it's much better than my HTML solution. J. Finkelstein 23:21, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Arcueid Zelretch.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Arcueid Zelretch.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Tables, home page
(a follow-on to the discussion at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)): I don't know what browser you're using, but is there a reason for the extra row on the bottom of the table? I saw the extra row on some of the pages you're working on. Unless you're going to fill it out with columns in the near future, it should probably be removed. This may be the cause for the "darker border" that you're describing.
Also, I noticed that your homepage is currently a redlink. It's a small issue, but it may be better to create some kind of page there, even if it's simply a redirect to your talk page. The reason is that the redlink appears when other users are reviewing your edits to a page or otherwise doing RC patrol, and a redlink homepage can be a sign of a new user, and therefore others may slightly mistrust edits on first glance. While that shouldn't affect their overall take on any of your edits, a bluelink would give a slightly better first impression, more appropriate to your level of experience, that's all. If you do create a homepage, and later wish to make it a redlink again for any reason, you can add {{db-user}} to the page, and an admin will be along shortly to delete it. --Interiot 19:59, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Enkidu binding Berserker.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Enkidu binding Berserker.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 01:38, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
