The Smoke-Free Air Act is a law that went into effect in New Jersey on April 15, 2006. This law prohibits smoking in any indoor public place and work place.

Casino Floors
Cigar bars and lounges, who make 15% of their income from tobacco products.
Tobacco Retail Establishments whos primary (51%) sales are from tobacco products.

A person in violation of the law:

$250 first offense
$500 second offense
$1000 for each subsequent violation

Business that fails to comply with the law:

$250 first offense
$500 second offense
$1000 for each subsequent violation

[edit] Smoke-Free Casinos

Atlantic Prevention Resources(APR) and Atlantic County REBEL have began pettioning for Smoke-Free Casinos. The casino floors are the biggest exemption from the law. Currently these organisations are working to remove them from the exemption.
