Malaysian Psychology Centre is founded by Dr. Edward Chan Weng Loke in 1996. It started off with only one centre located in Taman Desa, Kuala Lumpur. Later, Dr Edward Chan was able to gather other professional scholars to join his team and created a panel of psychologists. Malaysian Psychology Centre was then expanded to Sabah, Penang and Butterworth. He is now the Principal Consultant Psychologist & Nutritional Therapist of the Centre.

Dr. Edward Chan's qualifications is as followed: D.Phil.(Psy.)(LSP)(IOU), B.Sc.(Hons.)(Psy)(Middlesex),Pg.Dip.(Clin.Psy.)(LSP)(IOU), M.Sc.(Dept.Educational Reserach)Lancaster, Dip(Hypnotherapy & Corporate Psy.)(UK), NLP Pr.(ABNLP), CPPD(Holistic Health & Nutrition)(Plaskett Nutritional Medicine College)(Thames Valley University), CSAC(Dept.of Health, Hawaii)(International Certificate & Recirprocacy Concortium)(Reg.No. M906-98).

Other professionals who have joined in are: Dr. N.S. Srivalli, Dr.Zaitun Sulaiman, Arivom Namasivaya, Ghulam Irshad bin G.M. Hussain, Mohd Osman Ibrahim, Dr. Teoh Hooi Meng, Karen CY Kow, and Dr. Michelle Mary Kim.
