Malm (population 1800) is the administrative centre of the municipality of Verran in the county of Nord-Trøndelag, Norway. It was a separate municipality from 1913-1963.

Long traditions with mining of iron and sulphur from 1902-1989 made Malm an industrial centre of the county. The school of Malm was one of three pioneer schools in Norway, which started 3-years middle school/”junior high school” (7-9 grade) in the 1950s. New small industry has been established since the end of the mining period, were steel constructions for offshore and bridges are made, Malm is a village in Nord-Trøndelag with 1800 inhabitants.

Malm is located by the Trondheimsfjord 32 kilometres west of the city of Steinkjer.
